Running back Tim Phillips of Louisville Trinity High School has been chosen as the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week in class 6A football in the state of Kentucky. The diminutive Phillips had 22 carries for 190 yards and three touchdowns as the Shamrocks beat rival St. Xavier 28-21 and avenge a regular season loss.
CLASS 5A
Running back VaShun Banks of Christian County High School has been named the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week for Class 5A football in Kentucky. Banks' 14-yard touchdown run with 14 seconds remaining gave the Colonels a 35-29 win over John Hardin. For the night, Banks ran 21 times for 106 yards.
CLASS 4A
Running back Zach McCarthy of Bullitt East High School has been named the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week for Class 4A football in Kentucky. In a 52-49 win over Calloway County, McCarthy carried 38 times for 338 yards and four touchdowns.
CLASS 3A
Running back Chance Hughes of Central High School has been named the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week for Class AAA football in Kentucky. Hughes gained 128 yards on 13 carries, including a 51-yard TD dash on a fourth-and-two play that broken open a close game in Central's 49-21 win over Union County.
CLASS 2A
Running back Troy Turner of Fort Campbell High School has been named the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week for Class AA football in Kentucky. Turner scored on touchdown runs of 51 and 44 yards in the second half as the Falcons broke open a close game and defeated Monroe County 34-18.
CLASS A
Running back Nieco Teipel of Beechwood High School is this week's Primetime Prep Performer of the Week in Class A football in the state of Kentucky. Heipel gained 178 yards on 26 attempts and scored four touchdowns in a 34-0 win over Crittenden County.
