Person had 235 yards on 30 carries and scored five touchdowns in a 52-8 rout of Clinton County. CLASS 2A Quarterback Justin Harlan of Monroe County High School has been named the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week for Class AA football in Kentucky. Harlan passed all three touchdowns in a 21-0 win over Barren County. With the victory, Monroe County has already surpassed last season's win total. CLASS 3A Running backs Spencer Phillips and Derrick Harden share the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week for Class AAA football in Kentucky. In McLean County's hard fought 12-0 win over Webster County, Spencer rushed for 134 yards and Harden came off the bench after Phillips was injured to play a key role. Harden scored the game's first TD midway through the final quarter, breaking free on a 42-yard run on a fourth-and-one play. CLASS 4A Quarterback Sean Thompson of Franklin County High School has been named the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week for Class 4A football in Kentucky. Thompson led the Flyers to a 27-20 overtime over arch rival Frankfort, scoring the winning TD on a 10-yard run in the extra period. Thompson scored two other rushing touchdowns and he threw for one score. CLASS 5A Quarterback Tony Guidugli of Highlands High School has been named the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week for Class 5A football in Kentucky. In a 55-28 win over Dixie Heights, Guidugli passed for 338 yards and two touchdowns. CLASS 6A The entire defense for Trinity High School has been chosen as the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week in class 6A football in the state of Kentucky. The Shamrocks beat national power Cincinnati St. Xavier 17-6 and the defensive unit played a key role with two interceptions, seven sacks and a forced fumble. DE Brock Messina had the pick, forced the fumble and recorded two sacks to lead the charge. Because of a power outage, Trinity had to use a generator to watch tapes of St..X. =====(Week ending 9/14/08)===== CLASS 6A Running back Ryan Williams of George Rogers Clark High School has been chosen as the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week in class 6A football in the state of Kentucky. The 5'7, 175-pounder for for 237 yards and four touchdowns in the Cardinals' 25-7 win over Tates Creek. Williams accounted for all but 121 yards of GRC's total output. His scoring runs covered 64, 14, 34 and 9 yards. CLASS 5A Quarterback Steven Duckworth of Woodford County High School has been named the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week for Class 5A football in Kentucky. Duckworth threw five touchdown passes to five different receivers, covering distances ranging from 30 to 45 yards, as the Yellow Jackets beat Montgomery County 49-0. Steven Duckworth--Woodford County High School CLASS 4A Warren East High School running back Shenard Holton has been named the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week for Class 4A football in Kentucky. Holton ran for 160 yards and three touchdowns in a 36-35 win over Bardstown, including the game-clinching score from a yard out with 30 seconds remaining. Holton also caught four passes for 111 yards. Shenard Holton -- Warren East High School CLASS 3A Running back Chris Thomas of Taylor County High School has been named the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week for Class 3A football in Kentucky. Thomas rushed for 295 yards on 26 carries and scored four TDs as Taylor County defeated Somerset 45-42. CLASS 2A Running back Matt Deese of Murray High School has been named the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week for Class AA football in Kentucky. Deese ran for 118 yards and scored both touchdowns in Murray's 14-6 over Caldwell County, enabling Murray to gain the upperhand in this powerful western Kentucky district race. CLASS A Running back Daniel Harmon of Pikeville High School is this week's Primetime Prep Performer of the Week in Class A football in the state of Kentucky. Harmon scored six touchdowns and ran for 144 yards in a 68-0 rout of Betsy Layne. Daniel Harmon -- Pikeville High School =====(Week ending 9/7/08)===== CLASS A Quarterback Matt Jones of Fairview is this week's Primetime Prep Performer of the Week in Class A football in the state of Kentucky. Jones rushed for five touchdowns out of the Eagles' new spread Wing-T offense as Fairview rolled over East Carter 54-17. CLASS 2A Running back Seth Setser of Prestonsburg High School has been named the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week for Class AA football in Kentucky. In a 27-20 win over Class 3A power Breathitt County, Setser scored the clinching touchdown on a four-yard run inside the final minute. That score was set up by a blocked punt in which Setser participated and he also scored the Blackcats' first TD on a 56-yard run. CLASS 3A Quarterback A.J. Cordle of Russell High School has been named the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week for Class AAA football in Kentucky. Cordle threw TD passes of 32 and 41 yards to Justin Mitchell in Russell's 35-20 win over Boyd County. Boyd coach Lee Evans told the Ashland Daily Independent 'there's no question, that (the passing game) was the difference in the game.' CLASS 4A Quarterback Jamarielle Brown of Lone Oak High School has been named the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week for Class 4A football in Kentucky. The former first-team all-state wideout accounted for five touchdowns in the Purple Flashes' 54-13 rout of Crittenden County. Brown rushed for 71 yards and one score and hit 15 of 25 passes for 282 more and four touchdowns. CLASS 5A Quarterback Zach Isrel of Covington Catholic High School has been named the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week for Class 5A football in Kentucky. Isrel completed 18 of 27 passes for 323 yards and three touchdowns as the Colonels' rallied past Newport Central Catholic 38-34. Two of his TD throws came during a rally from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit and Isler also ran for one score. Covington Catholic High School Team CLASS 6A Running back Miles Simpson of Simon Kenton High School has been chosen as the Primetime Prep Performer of the Week in class 6A football in the state of Kentucky. Simpson had touchdown runs of 80, 80, 76 and 30 yards in the 28-7 win over Dixie Heights. For the night, he rushed for 347 yards on 24 carries. Miles Simpson #30--Kenton High School Source:
